Have a 'wild' time this Christmas.
Are you looking for a Christmas tree? Then choose a tree that makes a difference.
As one of New Zealand's most invasive weeds, wilding pines threatens to permanently alter our unique landscapes throughout New Zealand.
High Country Contracting has been working with a number of organisations over the years to help eradicate this pest, especially within the regions of Twizel and the Mackenzie Country, and have developed a great initiative so that you can also play your part this Christmas.
You can purchase, or donate to a family in need, a wilding pine.
All proceeds from the sale given to the I Am Hope Charitable Trust to support their in-school, community, and workplace mental health programmes.
This offer is only open to people that can collect their tree from the Pleasant Point township of South Canterbury on the xx of December.
Please keep in mind that wilding pines aren't perfectly grown and have a bit of character to them. They will also need to be properly disposed of after use to ensure there is no environmental risk.
